General Conditions of Participation and Privacy Policy for Design Contests

These general terms and conditions apply to design contests organized by Jan Meyer (hereinafter ""), Poststr. 10, 16909 Wittstock/Dosse. Conditions and regulations that are specified in connection with the respective competition – eg on the Design Contest page – (“Additional Conditions”) take precedence over these General Conditions of Participation.

1.Participation and Prize

The manner of entering the Design Contest and the prize(s) will be specified in the Additional Terms and Conditions for the relevant contest.

2. Prerequisites for participation and implementation of the design contest

2.1 Persons over the age of 18 are eligible to participate.

2.2 The Design Contest will be conducted in two stages, with the exact periods of the stages being specified in the Additional Terms. First of all, a design contest takes place, for which the participant must send his design proposal to the specified e-mail address via file upload.

2.3 From all submissions, five designs will be selected by a jury according to criteria such as appearance on the product (article), creativity, originality and topic relevance. Selected designs will be posted to the lowbrds Instagram page for voting.

The winner of the design contest is the one whose design gets the most votes from visitors to the lowbrds Instagram page (via Reaction - Like).

2.4 Participation in the design contest and claiming the prize are free of charge for the participants.

2.5.1 The winner of the design contest irrevocably grants all temporally, spatially and factually unrestricted rights to his copyrighted design in a contract to be concluded and transfers all existing transferrable rights of use to

2.5.2 is entitled to use the logo for all known and unknown types of use, especially in print form. It can also be used repeatedly for an unlimited period of time in any form. The right of use includes in particular any duplication, distribution, public access and transmission.

2.5.3 is entitled to edit or redesign the logo itself or through the involvement of third parties or to carry out a »re-design« or have it carried out.

2.5.4 All rights are granted and transferred exclusively in favor of The designer undertakes not to use any preliminary work and drafts in an identical or similar form for his own purposes or to pass them on to third parties.

2.5.5 may transfer the rights to use the logo to third parties without the prior consent of the designer. Such sublicenses remain in existence even after the main license has expired.

2.5.6 is entitled to register property rights to the logo in its own name, in particular design protection and trademark protection. The designer will provide all information required for this in writing and, if necessary, make any necessary declarations available to the German Patent and Trademark Office on first request.

3. Settlement

3.1 After the end of the design contest, the winners will be promptly notified of the prize by e-mail provided for submission and asked to confirm acceptance of the prize.

3.2 If the winner does not confirm acceptance of the prize within a period of 20 days, the prize will be forfeited. If the contact details provided are incorrect (e.g. invalid e-mail address), is not obliged to find out the correct address. The disadvantages resulting from the provision of incorrect contact details are at the expense of the participants.

3.3 Prize claims are non-transferrable. The participant can forego the prize.

4. Accountability and Indemnification

4.1 is not obliged to check the designs provided by the participant for potential violations of the rights of third parties. However, is entitled to reject designs if, in the opinion of, they are illegal or offend against common decency.

4.2 The participant releases from all third-party claims that have arisen as a result of the content provided by the participant. You agree to assist in any reasonable way in defending against these claims.

5.Early Termination reserves the right to end the Design Contest prematurely at any time, even without observing a deadline, in whole or in part, or to change its course if it is due to technical reasons (e.g. computer virus, manipulation of or errors in software/hardware) or For legal reasons, it is not possible to guarantee that the design contest will be carried out properly.

6.Exclusion of Participation

6.1 reserves the right to exclude the participant from participating in the design contest in the event of a violation of these conditions of participation. 8.2 Participants cannot assert any claims against Facebook, Meta & Instagram that arise in connection with participation in the Design Contest.

8.3 The Design Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, organized or associated with Facebook, Meta & Instagram.

8.4 All information and data provided by or collected from participants in a design contest will only be provided to and not to Facebook.

8.5 All inquiries and information regarding a design contest should be directed to and not to Facebook.

9.Final Provisions

9.1 Should a provision of the conditions be invalid or become ineffective, this shall not affect the effectiveness of the rest of the contract.

9.2 The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply to the exclusion of conflict of law provisions. Place of jurisdiction is the seat of
